Many of them baptized with the Holy Spirit and 22 baptized in water. We had 4 exciting days together where I was sharing from my heart about the urgency of finishing the task that Jesus gave us – making disciples of all ethnic groups. It was greatly emphasized by Jesus that the disciples should wait in Jerusalem until they had received the Power of the Holy Spirit, and it is just as important to us to receive our Pentecostal experience of Power today, as we have the same message to deliver. The task is not yet finished! We experienced the Power of God falling on many of the participants in the meetings, filling them with his Holy Spirit and they were speaking in tongues and glorifying God. Some of the people were not yet baptized in water, and we walked to the shore of the Red Sea nearby, and 22 of them were baptized to Christ! I also used some time to inspire them to count on God confirming their words with signs following, and expect God to heal the sick they would meet when they would lay their hands on them and pray for them. We also showed YouTube films for them from the experience that our son Ronald and his friend Torben Sondergaard has in Denmark and other countries. You can have a look yourself at www.thelastreformation.com. We also practiced in the conference and saw many great healing miracles taking place. The participants got very excited and inspired to use it themselves as they are reaching out with the Gospel. Missionaries from Egypt working in Sudan. It was a great joy for me to be together with several Jesus witnesses on fire for God that has already been to Sudan and have been bringing people to Jesus there. This is a great answer to our prayers for many years, and we praise God for these people. I have mentioned before that we have had a couple from Egypt helping in Nyala, Darfur, and it was great to meet friends of them here in the conference. They have meant a lot for the work of the Gospel there – particularly when all the people from the south had to leave here. It has become increasingly difficult for people from South Sudan to work and live in Sudan, and many of them were pillars of the church work in Sudan. God is calling more people from Egypt to help in Sudan, and we praise God for this. In October they plan to bring a team to Khartoum to be shining the love of Jesus there. These brothers and sisters has the fire of The Holy Spirit, His power and they have experience, and it is much easier for them to present the Good News of Jesus to the people there than it is for us or even for people from South Sudan. Pray for them as they prepare and pray that God will raise support for their outreach of love! Witnesses from Egypt with a reach out to the Arabic speaking world. We had the privilege these days to serve together with servants of the Lord that already have a great outreach to the entire Arab world. God does a great work these days in this part of the world, and even though the political situation is uncertain for the future, they love Jesus and want to share his love. I do feel a great calling to stand together with these witnesses of Jesus, and we will lift them in prayer and support. They need a lot of help in many ways, but God is raising up support both from Egypt and from other countries, so that they can be well equipped for their work. My tour to Libya was postponed to September this year. My plan was to visit the Union Church in Tripoli, Libya, the week before going to Egypt, but unfortunately my Visa was delayed to the Embassy here, and we had to postpone it up to September. I am looking forward to visiting Libya again, and be praying for this visit that the Lord will let my teaching and preaching be a great blessing to the church there. God has a word for you – just listen! When I was praying for you today, I just felt urged to tell you to never forget your daily time with God! Prayer is communication with God, and God has always time for you. The question is: Do you take time to listen? Many times we want to have a word from God, and he is there, wanting to speak to us, but we do not take time to listen! Make time in your agenda first thing in the morning – Listen to God! That is where the energy is for the day, and we all need that divine energy of the Holy Spirit to drive us. Psalm 5,3 says: “My voice shall you hear in the morning, Oh Lord. In the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up!” Let every day become a divine day – a day where Jesus is revealed through your life! Your friend and brother in Jesus Jan Ernst | |
